A Certified Gottman Therapist Here to Support You

I'm an experienced psychotherapist working with both individuals and couples. I specialize in helping people navigate relationship challenges and rediscover connection and trust. Using the Gottman Method—a research-based approach to relationship therapy—I guide couples toward healthier communication, deeper understanding, and more fulfilling partnerships.

The Gottman Method

​Dr. John Gottman has revolutionized the study of marriage. For nearly four decades he has conducted research on all facets of relationships, including parenting issues. At the Institute, in collaboration with Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman, he developed an approach that not only supports and repairs troubled marriages and committed relationships, but strengthens happy one

Relationship Therapy

The Gottman Method uses a scientific approach to help you assess the strengths and development areas in the relationship. Using online questionnaires and individual consultations I will be able to offer an individual guidance plan to help recover or build a sound relationship. Whether you are married, a couple or single, sound relationships enhance our overall feelings of happiness

The Gottman Assessment 

The initial assessment consists of:

  • Couples 60-minute session:

  • Online Questionnaire and love lab videos: 

  • 45-minute individual session: 

  • 60-minute feedback session and Guidance plan 

Gottman treatment plans 

The treatment plan has several flexible options 

  • Online or inperson Treatment sessions:

  • 60 minutes

  • or 90 minutes.

Why Gottman Marathon Therapy Works

  • Focused Intervention: The concentrated format allows couples to address challenges intensively, often resulting in breakthroughs that might take months in traditional weekly therapy.

  • Customised Assessment: A thorough initial assessment pinpoints relationship strengths and areas for growth, ensuring therapy is tailored to each couple’s unique needs.

  • Skill Building: Couples learn and practise new communication and conflict management skills in real time, fostering immediate and practical improvements.

  • Relationship Repair: Extended sessions allow for deep emotional work, reconnection, and healing, providing a safe space for couples to resolve longstanding issues.

How Gottman Marathon Therapy Works

The therapy is delivered either face-to-face in Torquay or online, with two main formats available to suit differing needs and preferences:Face-to-Face Format (Torquay)

•Duration: 2 days, comprising a total of 10 hours of therapy.

•Assessment: The first 4 hours are dedicated to assessment, including interviews, questionnaires, and structured observation of the couple’s interactions.

•Written Report: Following assessment, a detailed written report is provided giving recommendations.

•Therapy Sessions: The remaining 6 hours focus on targeted therapeutic intervention, skill building, and relationship enhancement.

Online Format

  • Duration: 3 days, with the same total of 10 hours of therapy as the face-to-face option.

  • Structure: The process mirrors the in-person approach, beginning with assessment and culminating in focused therapy sessions and a written report.

Learn About My Methods


The purpose of counselling is to provide you with a safe place to work through your current difficulties.   As a person centred counsellor, my emphases are on openness, honestly and trust within the therapeutic relationship.  The content of sessions will be determined by what you feel is  important to you and what will help you achieve your goals of therapy. You are the best person to decide what will work for you and your unique circumstances, I will be there you help you process your emotions and decide a way forward. Whatever you are experiencing, I am not there to judge or diagnose so I do not ask probing questions or give advice. I am there to offer support and empowerment to take control of your own future.

The goals of Gottman Method Couples Therapy are to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection, remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy in conflicting situations, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.
